Needle and Thread Count Package

With a rich history and diverse existing tattoo scene, many travelers come to San Francisco solely to access the talent and traditions alive and well among the artists in the Bay Area. Honing in on this ritual, we've partnered with Inked Magazine's Former Creative Director Todd Weinberger and Contributing Writer Jennifer Goldstein to create a tattoo getaway package. You will have the opportunity to choose among three SF-based talents: Dave Robinson of Everlasting Tattoo, Mary Joy of Tattoo City and CATS of 2Spirit Tattoo. Whether a first-timer or a collector, this experience should appeal for the ease and access necessary to take advantage of the rich tattoo culture in one of America's most vibrant cities.

Mary Joy

Mary Joy is a San Francisco based tattooist and artist. She studied painting and drawing in San Francisco and at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, Italy. She has worked in several visual forms, including murals, zines and sign painting. She was apprenticed by Ed Hardy in 2007 and has been tattooing at his shop, Tattoo City ever since. In addition to tattooing, she makes etchings, watercolor paintings and ballpoint pen drawings on antique handkerchiefs (paños). Her art has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world.

David Robinson

David Robinson currently works at Seventh Son Tattoo in San Francisco, California. He has been doing beautiful tattoos in San Francisco for over 10 years, and brings with him a unique style and perspective. He has an eye for detail, fine line work, and composition.

Cats

Immersed in the tattoo world since her early teens, Cats' fascination with the process of mark making has taken her around the world, from her native England and now to San Francisco, with a number of pit stops along the way. She gained her Bachelors of Fine Art at Goldsmiths, London, and Masters also in Fine Art at Parsons, NYC. Cats' broad and varied artistic and cultural experience provides her a unique perspective and approach to each tattoo. Her specific area of interest combines nature, texture and all things pattern work.
